Altamont - Bill Owens for Altamont

Bill Owens is best known for his first book, Suburbia, published in 1973, which became an instant success and later gained recognition as one of the most influential photography books of the twentieth centruy. Owens had the talent to catch unexpected strangeness, beauty and humor within the mundane, that would become a huge influence on following generations of artists.
In 1969, while working as a photojournalist for a local newspaper, Owens was on hand to document the concert at Altamont Speedway that would come to symbolize a turning point in youth culture. The Bill Owens for Altamont collection is comprised of some those photos.

In conjunction with the Jordan Brand, The Naismith Basketball Hall Of Fame is opening one of most monumental exhibit, “Become Legendary: The Story Of Michael Jordan”, showcasing a collection of Jordan’s artifacts. This exhibition celebrates Jordan’s upcoming induction into The Basketball Hall Of Fame and allows fans from all over the world to look through a collection of photographs, videos, quotes, footwear and apparel to follow Jordan through his growth and career. The hall features a comprehensive timeline marking Jordan’s achievements as a basketball player, and also has items documenting his years with the Bulls and Olympic Game triumphs.
On another important note for all you Air Jordan sneakerheads out there: there is a display featuring 24-year chronology of Air Jordan sneakers and their evolution in design.
